INTERNAL SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS
The school communicates with staff and students inside the building in a variety of ways.
- Announcements on the PA system - Announcements are done in the mornings from 8:12-8:15. Important updates and information are shared with students during this time.
- Student Agendas - Students are asked to write down assignments for each class in their agenda.
- Bulletin Boards - Bulletin boards are set up around the school that remind students of behaviors to be exhibited in common areas. Every month, teams nominate two students that displaying these behaviors so they can be recognized. This is part of the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program.
- Monthly Meetings - Administration communicates with staff during monthly department meetings and through email. Department chairs attend county meetings and bring the information back to the department. The LeaderSIP and Quarterly review meetings are where data is shared with teams in order to drive important decisions regarding student learning.
- Morning Memo - The morning memo is sent out by the receptionist, Ms. McDaniel. The memo includes important updates, dates to remember, staff absences and a thought for the day.
- Remind - Ms. Rodgers, the principal, has created a Remind account to send out updates to cell phones. Whenever she sends an important email, she also pushes out a Remind to have the staff check their email.
- Hospitality Committee - The lead of the Hospitality Committee, Ms. Evans, communicates updates with regards to staff around birthday's, recognitions and when we need to keep a staff member in our thoughts.
